Software Overview.

Transport Desktop

Windows XP, Vista or Server operation systems are supported.
Microsoft SQL Server is required for database storage. Express edition is included in the installed software.
A modem is required not only for internet access. The systems message service listens to a port on the modem. The message service is build into the desktop software, the message service must be started and if the machine running the message service is not connected directly to the modem like with WIFI connections the router must have its virtual port mapped to the machine.

Transport Mobile

Windows Mobile 6 operating system required.
GPS required for location tracking. Many pda devices have built-in gps but you can use external gps davices.
An inernet connection is required, this is typically GPRS but can be WIFI connections. All data is compressed to minmise GPRS cost.

Transport Website

Microsoft .Net 3.5 website hosting is required, we recommend discountasp for shared hosing, they have uk and us based data centers.
A Paypal account is required for website payments.
The website can be installed on the office network to provide remote access and remove the need for a web database.
